Every casino machine, game, and system that KONAMI designs starts with the experience in mind rather than just a concept. Because in the end, the feelings that a collection of state-of-the-art technology arouses, escape, pleasure, excitement, invigoration, and satisfaction, are what make it worthwhile. It is KONAMI’s ability to consistently capture these attributes that set it apart.
Konami History
Kagemasa Kozuki established the well-known Japanese entertainment and gaming company Konami Corporation in March 1969. At first, the company was based in Osaka, Japan, and offered jukebox rentals and repairs. Konami made significant contributions to the video game industry after it turned its attention to arcade games in the 1970s.
To broaden their business, Konami entered the computer and home console gaming marketplaces in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During this time, Hideo Kojima’s “Metal Gear” series, which was renowned for its inventive gameplay and narrative, rose to prominence.
Konami’s achievements go beyond video games. With the release of the wildly successful collecting card game “Yu-Gi-Oh!,” they dabbled in a number of businesses, including trading cards, and slot machines.
Konami had to restructure its business in the twenty-first century and turned its attention away from making conventional video games. The business gave other projects, such as pachinko machines and fitness clubs, priority. Still, it kept making games, most famously “Dance Dance Revolution” and the “Pro Evolution Soccer” series.
