This honor has been held by several different computer manufacturers in the past. But recently, Acer snagged the “thinnest laptop ever” crown with their launch of the Acer Swift 7.
Swift 7
The Swift 7 measures a thin and sleek 9.9mm thick. That’s less than one centimeter. It weighs only 2.48 pounds. The unibody aluminum body is finished in black and gold. At first glance, the thinness is obvious. The whole laptop looks are pretty dynamic. The gold color of keyboard background and the large touchpad add a touch of elegance.

The Swift 7 features an Intel Core i5 processor, a 256GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM. It also has 802.11ac Wi-Fi support, and a pair of USB C ports for fast data transfer and connection to an external display and charging. This thinnest laptop ever also has a fingerprint reader, the latest 802.11ac with MU-MIMO wireless connectivity, and dual Dolby Audio speakers.
The 13.3-inch 1080p display, features IPS technology for wide viewing angles and is covered by Gorilla Glass for strength. The Swift 7 touts 9 hours of battery life. Others in the Swift lineup feature up to 13 hours of battery life. I guess you always have to sacrifice something for that “thinness.”

The Acer Swift 7 is shown on the Acer website. As its top-of-the-line Swift computer and for the price, I was a bit disappointed in the i5 processor. This laptop ought to have an i7 processor.
