The Top Panel

The top panel of the CM 690 III is shown in Figure 5. The buttons and connectors are at the front part of this panel, and behind them there is a “box” to keep small objects (it is a good place to store USB drives and adapters, for example.) At the rear of this panel there is a big meshed area.

At the front of the top panel there are two USB 3.0 ports, the audio connectors for microphone and earphones, two USB 2.0 ports, LEDs and buttons. The power on LED is inside the power button.

There is a cover that, besides closing the top compartment, protects the connectors from dust.

The meshed cover of the top panel is secured by one thumbscrew and can be easily removed to access the fans or radiator.
