MSI H57M-ED65 has several overclocking options. It incorporates “OC Genie,” an automatic overclocking option available on some MSI motherboards that overclocks the system by simply pushing a button. According to MSI this fuction will also overclock the integrated graphics processor in future BIOS versions. It also has a “+” and a “-” button that allows you to increase or decrease the CPU base clock in 1 MHz steps. MSI H57M-ED65 has an on-board on/off button and an on-board clear CMOS button.

The main overclocking features found on this motherboard are:
- Adjustment of the CPU base clock from 100 MHz to 600 MHz in 1 MHz steps.
- Adjustment of the PCI Express base clock from 90 MHz to 190 MHz in 1 MHz steps.
- Adjustment of the CPU voltage from 0.90 V to 2.10 V in 0.006 V steps.
- Adjustment of the CPU VTT voltage from 0.451 V to 2.018 V in 0.005 V steps.
- Adjustment of the CPU clock generator (PLL) voltage from 1.000 V to 2.430 V in 0.01 V steps.
- Adjustment of the memory voltage from 1.006 V to 2.505 V in 0.007 V steps.
- Adjustment of the memory reference voltage from 0.500 V to 1.200 V in 0.025 V steps.
- Adjustment of the chipset (PCH) voltage from 0.451 V to 1.953 V in 0.005 V steps.
