Figure 10 shows the backplate for use with Intel sockets LGA775, LGA1155, LGA1156, and LGA1366 processors, with the nuts installed. LGA2011 CPUs use the stock backplate. As previously mentioned, the reviewed cooler is not compatible with AMD CPUs.
Install the backplate on the solder side of the motherboard, and then the four spacers on the component side. Then put the two metal bars shown in Figure 11, holding them with four thumbnuts.

Put the heatsink over the CPU, and hold it in place with a third bar, fastening two screws at the first bars.
The last step is to install the fan or fans.
