Thermaltake showed us a working prototype of what can be their next water-cooling system, Bigwater 760i. They are, however, still studying whether they are going to release this product in the US market or not. Bigwater 760i is an all-in-one water-cooling solution that can be easily installed on two available 5 ¼” bays of your PC case. Check it out.

As you may already know, Thermaltake carries several different water-cooling solutions. They have cases with built-in water-cooling solutions, like Kandalf, Armor and Tai-Chi. They have external solutions like Symphony and Rocket, that are really big, and Tribe, which is smaller. They have pre-assembled solutions – or “all-in-one”, as they may be also called –, like the Silent Water. And finally, they have do-it-yourself kits under their BigWater series.

The problem with do-it-yourself kits is that for the average user they are somewhat complicated to assemble, as they have several different parts that need to be put together. All-in-one solutions provide a water-cooling kit that is far easier to install, as all main components – pump, radiator, fan and water tank – come already connected and ready to be installed. The only “extra” work is replacing the CPU cooler with a CPU block (a.k.a. “cold plate”) – and eventually the chipset cooler and the GPU cooler as well.

While Silent Water is an internal pre-assembled kit that still requires some sort of “exotic” installation, as the radiator needs to be installed somewhere – let’s face it, installing a water-cooling system isn’t the same thing as installing a hard drive or a DVD burner – Bigwater 760i is installed using two empty 5 ¼” bays from your case, thus using a more standardized installation procedure.

We think that for the average user looking for a high-end internal water-cooling solution Bigwater 760i is a terrific solution, as anyone that has installed a hard drive or a CD/DVD drive before can install this unit without any hassle.

Below you can see some pictures of Bigwater 760i. We honestly hope that Thermaltake releases this product in our market.
