Contents
As expected for a smartphone with such high specifications, the ASUS ZenFone 2 is excellent to use. The Atom Z3580 quad-core processor running at 2,3 GHz, along with the 4 GiB of RAM, make the smartphone very agile, with no signs of slowness.
The 5,5” screen is excellent and the resolution of 1920 x 1080, with 403 DPI, is worthy of a high-end device. Just for comparison, it is said that the human eye can see details at the maximum of 300 DPI.
The ZenFone 2 supports two SIM chips, with 4G LTE support only on the first chip.
The device also supports NFC, which is a short distance communication standard for data transfer and electronic payments.
The phone is pretty big, measuring 6” x 3.04” (152,5 x 77,2 mm), and it weighs 6 oz. (170 g.) It is not thin, because of its 0.43” (10.9 mm) at the center. But thanks to the curved design with thin edges (0.15” or 3.9 mm), it is comfortable to hold.
The ZenFone 2 comes with Android 5.0 operating system. The interface is the ZenUI, the same used in the ZenFone 5, very intuitive and easy to use.

You can install new applications using the Google Play Store, which has thousands of applications and games available.
The smartphone uses a 3,000 mAh lithium battery, with a good endurance for this kind of smartphone. We ran the battery benchmark of the Android PCMark app, and it measured 5 hours and 33 minutes, which is a good time.
The ZenFone 2 comes with the “BoostMaster” charger, which allows to charge 60% of the battery in 39 minutes, or talk for 4 hours with only 10 minutes of charging, according to ASUS.
The 13 Mpixel camera is excellent. It is also able to record Full HD movies, but only with 30 fps. The smartphone does not support 4K recording.
The front camera (for video chat and “selfies”) has a 5 Mpixel resolution, which is also compatible with high-end smartphones.
