We tested the three drives using DiskSpeed32 and CrystalDiskMark programs. They were connected to a USB 3.0 port. The only variable component between each benchmarking session was the HDD being tested.

- CPU cooler: Thermaltake WATER2.0 Extreme
Software configuration
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
- Desktop resolution: 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz

Software Used
Error Margin
We adopted a 3% error margin in our tests, meaning performance differences of less than 3% can’t be considered meaningful. Therefore, when the performance difference between two products is less than 3%, we consider them to have similar performance.
