GeForce GTX 280, which is being released today, is the new high-end graphics processing unit from NVIDIA. In this review we are going to compare its performance with other high-end video cards we had available, namely the GeForce 9800 GX2, the GeForce 9800 GTX, the Radeon HD 3870 X2 and the Radeon HD 3870. GeForce GTX 280 requires one 6-pin and one 8-pin auxiliary power connectors, as you can see in Figure 4. The maximum power consumption of this beast is 236 W.
